Paul O'BrienPaul O’Brien

Paul has a strong background in leadership and management roles with more than 20 years experience in the public safety industry as a commissioned police officer in State and Federal policing.Paul has complemented this practical leadership and management experience with a number of years as a corporate facilitator, coach and program designer for numerous public, private and not-for-profit sector organisations both domestically and internationally.

Paul also has extensive international experience in the area of community capacity building in countries that include Indonesia, China, the Solomon Islands & Micronesia.

Paul holds a Masters in Leadership and Management from Charles Sturt University and a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Monash University. He also holds a diploma in Training and Assessment Systems.

He a Partner at the Value Creation Group and Director of Leadership Matters.

 

John AlderJohn Alder

John is a Counselling and Organisational Psychologist and has worked in lecturing, research and consulting. His organisational consulting has included evaluation, OHS and rehabilitation, career path management, coaching, training strategy and design, for corporate, government, health and educational sectors.

Knowing our “selves” (our identity and immediate experience), while respecting others in our workplaces, families and among our peers is a core human experience and challenge. John’s interest in this challenge has guided his 10 years of university studies in psychology and 30 years of his professional life as a psychologist. He has supervised more than 40 “provisional psychologists” through to registration.

He has actively contributed to committees and advisory groups of the Australian Psychological Society and has numerous presentations at conferences, and published articles on professional practices. John was a founding member of the APS Coaching Psychology Interest Group. He is a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute. John holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education (Counselling) and a Master of Arts.

He is currently developing a practice in “couples careers counselling”.

 

Suzanne Walshe

Suzanne Walshe is a qualified coach, career strategist and facilitator with more than 20 years experience in public and private sector organisations. Suzanne’s career includes management roles in Local Government, HR strategic planning in the State Government, service review and development, coaching and teambuilding, career development and transition, mentoring and leadership programs.

She brings to her coaching and facilitation a depth of understanding and empathy gained through her varied background and experience in organisations in which there are constantly changing demands, multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Suzanne has a flexible and intuitive approach and draws on a range of coaching and career management tools, resources and processes to assist individuals and teams to be more engaged and effective in their work and have more satisfying and rewarding careers.

Suzanne is an Associate with Illuma Consulting. She is an active member of the International Coach Federation and the Career Development Association of Australia.

 

David GunzburgDavid Gunzburg

David has worked in the field of Human Resources for more than 25 years. His career has involved him in a number of industries and he has worked in senior HR roles with a select group of major Australian Corporations. David has been the Principal of DGHR Services since 2001.

David’s key areas of expertise are HR Strategy, Organisation Development, Change Management, Industrial Relations and Group Facilitation. His work assignments have seen him based in both Australia and South East Asia and has had significant exposure to operations elsewhere around the world. He has extensive experience in the Mining, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Engineering and Health Services industries.

David’s approach to Human Resources issues is based on the need to align the behaviours and skills of employees at all levels of the business with the Organisation’s business strategy. This is done by focusing on practical outcomes and the intensive engagement of the employees themselves.

 

Sheryl Smail

Sheryl is an experienced chief executive, director, mentor, facilitator and mediator who established her own business in 2000. Pivotal provides a ‘Bridge to Action’, enabling clients to align vision, strategy, people and performance – concepts to plans; plans to performance; disputes to resolution.

Sheryl is well equipped to work with her diverse client base; an IAF Certified Professional Facilitator and a LEADR accredited mediator she holds a Masters in Business Administration and has broad executive management and governance expertise.

Sheryl has extensive experience in the health sector working with central government agencies, regional health funders and providers, and mainstream, as well as Maori, health service providers. She also has a proven record of providing focused, practical and highly professional services for a range of other sectors including tertiary education, local government, Iwi, and a diversity of commercial and NGO clients.

Based in New Zealand, Sheryl works in both a face-to-face and virtual capacity on projects with Illuma.

 

Atat Li-Kim-Mui

Dr Atat Li Kim Mui is the Managing Director and a Founding Partner of ARPOS a Sydney-based boutique management consulting firm that focuses on: the development and implementation of strategy and organisational effectiveness improvement including process redesign, cost reduction, operations improvement, supply chain optimisation and change management. Their consultants have worked in the public and private sectors across Australia, NZ and Asia in a range of industries including healthcare, financial services, aviation, transport and logistics, telecommunications and utilities.

Atat has twenty years of corporate experience developing and implementing corporate plans for medium to large companies, both as consultant and senior executive. He is passionate about turning strategy into action and delivering substantial improvements in operations. Atat has deep experience in change management and works closely with corporate leadership to effect change. He has a flexible work style that combines the rigorous with the practical to achieve tangible demonstrable outcomes for his clients. Atat trained as a structural engineer and received his PhD from the University of Cambridge. He has a MBA from the University of Sydney.
