Illuma Consulting provides the full gamut of training design – from comprehensive learning needs analysis, to program design, production of high quality resources and participant materials. We have extensive experience in this field including complete training packages for major corporate and government organisations. Projects range from week-long intensive residential programs, curriculum design for educational institutions, on-line learning, leadership development programs for global corporations and a wide array of other short courses.
In design and delivery of training we work on a principle of escalating complexity: building content and revisiting from different perspectives then using different methods as trainees absorb knowledge and skills and develop confidence. Contact us for a copy of our article Essentials of Training Design. Written to help our clients understand what could be involved when we work on a full design project. It gives an indication of our philosophy and approach to training design and associated work.
Training Development Projects – Examples
Mental Health Peer Work Training
Illuma Consulting was contracted to develop this award-winning program for Mind Australia. Ron Stallmach did the design for the Facilitator Guide and Participant Workbooks. Illuma has been involved in a number of training design projects for Mind Australia.
Women In Leadership
Our client, a major international finance corporation was concerned about the lack of women in senior leadership and executive positions despite them undertaking and doing well in the company’s leadership development training programs. We designed both a two-day and a one-day version of a program that was designed to help these women articulate and successfully act upon their leadership ambitions. It’s now 3 years since it was first launched and both programs are still going strong (check out the testimonial here)
One of the program facilitators who works primarily in developing countries tells us it’s her favourite training course to run.
